The Plasma Specialists
Adtec was the first company worldwide to introduce the treatment of gas plasma on chronic wounds for
medical use. The clinical trial results have proved the antimicrobial efficacy and accelerated wound
healing as well as the promising results of treating Actinic Keratoses using the Adtec SteriPlas.
Adtec’s first medical device product, the MicroPlaSter, was developed in 2005 using a unique patented
plasma treatment head developed in collaboration with the Max-Planck Institute for Extraterrestrial
Physics in Germany.
The Adtec SteriPlas is the third-generation medical device with CE registration making it fully compliant
with EU regulations. Adtec Healthcare’s Quality Management System is audited by the notified body to
be compliant with EN ISO 13485:2016.
Designed and manufactured in the UK, the SteriPlas has design and performance improvements that
allow safe use in a wider range of clinical applications.
We are dedicated on the benefits of plasma medicine but as an engineering company we also specialise
in the development of other applications using cold plasma, such as surface treatment. Please visit our
